What a day!!

Courtney had to be up at the school by 6:30 in order to go do her "trainer" thing with the football team. So I couldn't really go back to sleep after that. So I proceeded to get up water my yard, go for a walk, and bake a cake for my firemen buddies up the street. My brother is a fireman out in west Texas and so firemen hold a special place in my heart. Maybe if I feed my buddies long enough, they will come up with a single one for me. Whitney couldn't seem to drag herself out of bed before 11:15. She has been going to tryouts at 7:00 am every morning so she was tired. I felt zapped by the time 2:00 got here because the heat is just about to get to me. I have no energy and I can't imagine what one of my dearest families have been going through. No A/C for 11 days, and they have 5 kids. D has the patience of Job... I've only gotten to know D and her family really well over the past two or three years, but I can never imagine my life without them going forward.
